Hi I'm Gina Steele,
I've been there and was able to turn my career around.
My career started when I graduated into a terrible recession and didn’t know how to network or interview. I submitted 100s of resumes and went on dozens of interviews with little success.
I knew there were things I had to learn.
I built a supportive well-connected network by nurturing relationships. I improved my interview skills, and landed a job at the number 1 firm in the country in my practice area.
I was excited – I thought I'd found my dream job. Unfortunately, it wasn’t.
I ended up with a mid-level leadership role that emphasized my weaknesses. I had overwhelming responsibilities, with no authority to manage them. It was stressful, exhausting, and mind-numbing. Unfortunately, at the time I lacked the leadership presence and communication skills to improve my situation.
I remember that sense of dread every Sunday night. I became more and more exhausted, and eventually - Ianded in the hospital from all the stress.
I knew I had to do things differently.
I studied everything I could find about thriving in your job and your life. It all pointed to understanding the brain science of leadership and having an irresistible leadership presence.
I studied the brain science – and with a lot of trail and error - developed a strong leadership presence.
Soon after, I landed my dream leadership position. With everything I'd learned, I wanted to contribute more. I had found a new passion - helping others land their dream high impact leadership role. I became a Certified Executive Coach through the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business.
